TEFLON ® HOSE

Hose

Tube : Smooth, antistatic, extruded PTFE. Reinforcement : One high tensile Type 304 stainless steel wire braid. Temperature Range : -60°C (-76°F) to 260°C (500°F).

Teflon® hoses feature a PTFE tube with a stainless wire cover and are commonly used for compressor discharge lines on mobile air brake sys tems as well as in many different chemical applications. Traditionally, SAE 100R14 Teflon® Hose was designed to replace copper tubing and flare fittings. This meant that a 3 ⁄ 8 " flare fitting, which fit with 3 ⁄ 8 " O.D. ( 5 ⁄ 16 " I.D.) copper tubing, corresponded to the matching reduced bore Teflon® Hose dash size. Today, Pulsar offers a Full Bore Teflon® hose product. This product is named for its actual hose I.D. (not the copper tubing equivalent) and is interchangeable with the traditional reduced bore product in several sizes.
