TYPE A BALL-LOCK COUPLINGS

TYPE B BALL-LOCK COUPLINGS

Developed by Anfor in the early 1900s, Type A Ball-Lock Couplings were originally used in agricultural applications. Today, Type A Ball Lock Couplings are the industry standard in 10” and 12” sizes and are predominantly used in dewatering applications. The ball and socket design allows for couplings to be connected even when the parts are misaligned while the extra long hose shanks allow lots of room for multiple clamps. HDPE Pipe Tail Adapters are also available and combine the reliability and ease of ball-lock couplings with the durability of HDPE pipe.

Type B Ball-Lock Couplings were developed by Bauer in Germany. En gineered to include smaller sizes as well as higher working pressures, these couplings are applicable not only in dewatering applications, but also find widespread use in sewer bypass, mines, and the agriculture industry. These galvanized steel fittings are economical and are quick and easy to connect. Hose shanks are available in both crimp and clamp style. Alternatively, Green line stocks HDPE Pipe Tail Adapters which are designed to be fused in the field, allowing for custom configura tions based on your needs. The design of Type B Ball-Lock Couplings allows for connection even when misaligned and can flex up to 30° in all directions allowing for greater flexibility when connecting long pipe or hose lengths.
