G842… CHEM KONG UHMW CHEMICAL

UHMW stands for Ultra High Molecular Weight and refers to the weight and size of the polyethylene molecules that make up the tube of the hose. Larger, heavier molecules are very imper vious to chemical attack and permeation. The result is that a relatively thin tube can provide excellent chemical resistance and a higher working temperature range. Chem Kong will handle 98% of common industrial chemicals and is much more flexible than G841 and other cross-linked polyethylene hoses. Tube : White, smooth, ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) backed with compatible EPDM rubber layer. Reinforcement : Dual wire helix between layers of synthetic textile cords. Cover : Green, chemical, weather and abrasion resistant EPDM rubber with wrapped finish. Temperature Range : -40°C (-40°F) to maximum tempera ture limit of 121°C (250°F) for most chemicals.

For dangerous or envi ronmentally harmful chemicals it is always advisable to test the tube material under service condi tions prior to field use. For maxi mum service life, hoses should be drained & flushed out after each use. Maximum pressure ratings are based on using permanently swaged or crimped fittings rather than band clamps.

G842C... CORRUGATED CHEM KONG UHMW CHEMICAL Corrugated Chem Kong offers the same features as our standard G842 Chem Kong hose but with the added benefit of greater in-hand flexibility. In applications where the hose is regularly moved, connected, and disconnected, Corrugated Chem Kong requires less force to bend making it much easier to handle. Corrugated Chem Kong is suitable for the suction and delivery of a wide range of chemicals and also has the added benefit of an FDA approved tube, making it suitable for food and beverage applications as well. Tube : White, smooth, FDA approved, ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) compound. Reinforcement : Dual wire helix between layers of synthetic textile cords. Cover : Green, chemical, weather, and abrasion resistant EPDM rubber with corrugated wrapped finish. Temperature Range : -40°C (-40°F) to 120°C (248°F).
