Tube : Smooth, black, heat and anti-freeze resistant SBR rubber. Reinforcement : Plies of synthetic fabric. Cover : Black, heat and weather resistant SBR rubber with wrapped finish. Temperature Range : -40°C (-40°F) to 100°C (212°F). G388 is for straight connections in engine cooling and wet exhaust applications and has the same features as G381 but without the helix wire. It is particularly useful where installation space is limited and a wire reinforced hose cannot be com pressed enough to fit between the end connections. G388 meets SAE J2006 Type R1 specifications for marine wet exhaust hose.
