AUTOMOTIVE HOSE

G822DEF… DEF DISPENSING HOSE

Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) is a solution of urea and de-ionized water that is sprayed into the exhaust systems of diesel pow ered vehicles. It is also known as AdBlue™ and is standardized as ISO 22241. The fluid reacts to break down nitric oxide and nitrogen dioxide pollutants. Our DEF dispensing hose has a tube made from a special peroxide cured EPDM rubber that minimizes contamination of the fluid. For hose assemblies, it is important to select only fittings made from specific materials to come into contact with DEF fluid. In order to prevent corrosion which may further contaminate the fluid and render it ineffective or potentially damage engine components, please refer to the table below when selecting your end fittings.

Tube : Black, peroxide cured EPDM rubber specially formulated for diesel exhaust fluid. Reinforcement : High tensile spiral polyester yarn. Cover : Black, smooth, abrasion and weather resistant EPDM rubber. Temperature Range : -45°C (-58°F) to 120°C (248°F).

G103… PUSH-ON

Tube : Smooth, black oil resistant Class A nitrile rubber. Not for use with gasoline or diesel fuels. Reinforcement : Braided, high tensile synthetic textile cord. Cover : Smooth, oil resistant, MSHA flame resistant Class B modified nitrile rubber. Temperature Range : -40°C (-40°F) to 100°C (212°F) for normal service. For air up to 71°C (160°F) only.

Push-On hose, when used with push-on fittings, provides fast and neat hose assembly without the use of clamps or ferrules. Because hoses can be assembled quickly and without tools, Push-on is popular for air lines on lumber sorters, newsprint handling equipment, and machinery production lines. Since the hose is resistant to most lubricating oils and hydraulic fluids, G103 is popular for hydraulic case drains and vent lines as well as general automotive service. Push-On makes a great shop air hose in oily environments. Please note, Push-On hose is not for use with gasoline or diesel fuels.
