G1600BS... BANDING SLEEVE

Designed to be used with our Urethane Vapour Recovery, Urethane Fuel Drop, and Nitrile/PVC Fuel Drop hoses, these banding sleeves feature a corrugated inside and a smooth outside to make band application easier and neater by creating a smooth surface for clamping. Each banding sleeve is approximately 3 ft long and can be cut in half to provide enough sleeve to couple both ends of a hose. The sleeve is threaded onto the hose helix at each end prior to fitting installation and has the added feature of helping to prevent stress on the hose, similar to a bend restrictor. Clamps are then applied over the sleeve to complete assembly. Additional sizes and colours are available by request.

LEFT-HAND OR RIGHT-HAND HELIX? To determine the direction of your helix, look at the end of the hose: ● ● If the helix spirals in a clockwise direction away from you it is a right-hand helix. ● ● If the helix spirals in a counter-clockwise direction away from you, it is a left-hand helix.

Safety Note : Any hose being used to transfer gasoline or gasoline vapors must be bonded to ground to prevent the risk of static build up. Assemblers must be trained to correctly bond the copper static wire of the hose to the metal end fittings and test the conductivity. Instructions are available upon request.

When attaching couplings to corrugated hoses, banding coils make band application easier and neater by creating a smooth surface for clamping. One banding coil can be cut in half to provide enough coil to couple both ends of a hose. The coil is threaded onto the hose helix at each end prior to fitting installation. Clamps are then applied over the coil and helix.
