Double-jacket fire hoses have an extra layer of synthetic fabric making them more resilient in severe applications. Incidentally, this extra jacket also allows for higher working pressure mak ing them a suitable choice for washdown service. The extra durability does come with a trade-off however, as it makes the hose significantly heavier compared to a single-jacket hose, especially when wet.

Tube: Food grade polyurethane. Finished product meets MIL H-24606B standards for potable water use. Cover: Two layers of polyester yarn with blue polymer impreg nation for increased abrasion resistance. Wherever fire hose is used for filling tankers with potable water from fire hydrants, we stock G1942BP Double-Jacket Potable Water hose. With two layers of polyester yarn for added resilience in severe applications, Double-Jacket Potable Water hose can be used wherever high volume delivery is required for drinking water including emergency relief and ship supply. G1942BP meets MIL-H-24606B standards for potable water use.
