Vacuum breaker check valves are designed to prevent cross con nection in a potable water supply. If the pressure suddenly drops in a water system, backflow can sometimes occur from a garden hose connected to an outside faucet. These backflow preventers meet CSA B64.2 standards and feature a manual drain feature on the stem and a break-away set screw for permanent installation and tamper prevention.
