G822DEF… DEF Dispensing Hose Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) is a solution of urea and de-ionized water that is sprayed into the exhaust systems of diesel pow- ered vehicles. It is also known as AdBlue™ and is standardized as ISO 22241. The fluid reacts to break down nitric oxide and nitrogen dioxide pollutants. Our DEF dispensing hose has a tube made from a special peroxide cured EPDM rubber that minimizes contamination of the fluid.

Only certain materials should come into contact with DEF fluid, in order to prevent corrosion which may contaminate the fluid and render it ineffective, and potentially damage engine components. Recommended fitting materials:

Type 304 stainless steel Type 316 stainless steel

PTFE (Teflon®), free of additives Polypropylene, free of additives Polyethylene, free of additives NOT recommended Carbon steel
