STAINLESS STEEL HOSE & SANITARY FITTINGS

We stock G65SS stainless steel cam-locks and various stainless steel valves listed in other sections of this catalog. The follow- ing section covers fittings used primarily in the food processing industry. There are a dozen or more designs of sanitary fittings that have been developed independently around the world. The two most common in our market area seem to be: -Clamp Fittings, also referred to as Tri-Clamp or Tri-Clover fittings which use a clamp and a gasket to join two identical flange fittings -Threaded Bevel Seat Fittings, which use an Acme threaded nut to make a metal to metal joint between a plain connector and a threaded connector

Other types that appear less commonly include: -I-Line Fittings, which use a clamp and a gasket to join a male face flange to a female face flange -Q-Line Fittings, which use an I-Line clamp but to join two matching flanges -John Perry Fittings, which are similar to Bevel Seat, but have a different sealing profile -APC Fittings, which use standard clamps that can couple two matching flanges with a gasket but can couple a flange to a threaded male using an Acme nut -DIN11851Imperial Fittings, a European style bevel seat fitting with a rounded thread form -RJT Ring Joint Type Fittings, another European style with a Brit- ish Witworth thread -SMS Couplings with a six slotted nut and rounded thread form.

Note: users may run into unusual sanitary fitting designs, espe- cially on imported machinery. Listed here are the more common configurations of the two most common styles; Clamp Style and Threaded Bevel Seat Style.

Note: For higher temperatures we prefer a silicone gasket. Teflon gaskets are also available, but do not seal as well and should not be used with bolt clamps.
